How am I charged?
We calculate the hire of a caravan or camper trailer on a daily calendar basis. That means that irrespective of what time it is picked up or returned the pickup day is counted as 1 day rental and the return day as 1 day rental.
Do I need electric brakes fitted to my car?
No. All of our vans are already fitted with electric brake systems!
Do I have to pay a bond?
Yes, you have to pay it. Yes, you will get it back – after we have ensured that the van is returned in the same condition it was in when you hired it.
Do I need tow mirrors?
Yes, but its totally up to you. To be compliant with Australian law, anyone towing a caravan must be able to see 20 metres behind them and four metres either side of the towed outfit. In order to meet this requirement, almost all vehicles will need additional towing mirrors. These are available for hire.
What if my vehicle cant tow?
We can deliver and pickup anywhere in Victoria and can provide you with an additional quote for this service. (Conditions apply)
Can I bring my pet?
Pets will be considered. Please discuss PRIOR to Hire.
Additional Cleaning Fees may apply.
Do I have to refill the gas bottles before I return the van?
No, not unless you have completely emptied the bottle. In that case please do not swap n go our gas bottles. Have them refilled or alternatively we can refill the bottles here onsite.
We will only charge $1.00/litre and this will be deducted from your bond. (most hire companies will charge you for a full gas bottle refill regardless of usage).
What if I want to extend my hire?
Please contact us immediately. If the van you have is not booked – we will be happy to extend your stay. Payment arrangements will need to be made.
Can I take the caravan off road?
No. All of our caravans are to be driven on bitumen roads, however, some well-made dirt roads are acceptable. Keep speed below 60km/h to avoid costly stone damage to front of van.
Strictly NO corrugated roads or 4WD tracks. A common sense approach should be taken to ensure no damage to the van so that your security bond is refunded.
*Camper trailers may be taken off road
